TITLE: OVERVIEW OF THE EDUCATION & TRAINING PILLAR

CHALLENGES IN EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF HEALTH PRACTITIONERS IN 21ST CENTURY:
Despite 21st Century challenges faced by medical doctors and health practitioners generally, their education continues with outdated curricula, inadequate educational infrastructure due to chronic resource inadequacy and corrupt practices, even as student enrollments increases.There is also chronic faculty shortages and job dissatisfaction, across the World, but much worse in LLMICs. There is Political Will deficit!

THE REALITY

In a World of Diminishing Political Will To Invest In Health as a priority,

Where, ‘People have access to medical knowledge and skills resources, previously only available to practitioners’,

Where, ‘Today, the first thing many people do when faced with a health problem is to seek and use information, using mobile phone, Internet, social media, etc’,
Where, ‘This is the century of the patient’, ‘the last century(20TH century) was the Doctors’ – Muir Gray (EBM Video accessed at http://ebm.jamanetwork.com. )

SOLUTION ADVOCATED BY THE CENTRE FOR CLINICAL GOVERNANCE RESEARCH & PATIENT SAFETY ( CCGR&PS – www.hri-global.org ) -

Medical Education and training curriculum starting at preservice, undergraduate, and residency post graduate levels should equip the graduates for the reality that they will face in the point –of-care, and so that they are skilled to leverage on achieving patient centered care and quality outcomes!
Doctors and other health practitioners educated in population health, and building Patient-Practitioner Alliance using the knowledge of 12-PCGP.

TITLE : RESUSCITATION ( BLS AND ACLS)

Stay up-to-date on the AHA guidelines: Review the latest AHA guidelines for BLS and ACLS to ensure that you are aware of any changes or updates to the recommended practices.
Receive regular training: Attend regular training sessions to keep your skills and knowledge up-to-date.
This will help you to stay current with the latest evidence-based practices and improve your confidence in performing resuscitation.
Recognize the emergency: Early recognition of the emergency is critical for successful resuscitation.
Learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest, stroke, acute coronary syndromes, and arrhythmias.
If you suspect an emergency, call for help immediately and initiate appropriate treatment.
